Speaker 1:

Welcome to the Leadership Sovereignty Podcast. I'm your host, Ralph Owens, along with Terry Baylor. In today's episode, we'll touch on topics such as the pioneer creative side of Andrico, how understanding yourself better

Speaker 2:

into. And then also, I wanna, you know, I wanna I wanna hear the success story of the guide and we can have people who've gotten the guide kinda share their stories. I wanna I wanna ask one more thing, Endricko, because you really, you know, we didn't dig into this much, but you made a statement about, you know, some of the things that you're passionate about. And one of those things is that you are a pioneer. That really struck a chord, you know, with me and even with Ralph and I, you've given us some advice about how to grow leadership sovereignty, right?

Speaker 2:

And we're excited about that. So can we just dig a little bit? Cause I just want to have the folks kind of, you know, really just get to know, you know, you know, some deeper elements, about some of the things that have, you know, that are driving Endricko. So can you dig into that a little bit?

Speaker 3:

Oh, absolutely. Yeah. That's, that's me by nature. And that's something that, again, it took a journey for me to, to understand. So by nature, I'm a pioneer creator.

Speaker 3:

I didn't know that in the beginning. Now that I look back on it, it's like, yeah. Actually, that was me. So there's parts of you that if you accept and understand, it can help you lean more into your your power. Right?

Speaker 3:

And so once I understood that, I'm like, wow, this it makes so much sense now. So when someone would come to to ask me for advice or they would share something with me, let me take a step back, they would share something with me. And my immediate thought is, okay. How can we design something to fix it and this and this and this? And I had to understand that that's one thing about me.

Speaker 3:

So what I had to take a step back and do is say, hey, wait a minute. Let me ask first. What is it that you need from me? Because sometimes people are not coming to you for an answer. They're coming to you for an ear.

Speaker 3:

They just want they want you to hear them out.

Speaker 1:

Right?

Speaker 3:

And so that's something that I had to understand on on on on my own because while my intentions were good, sometimes it it's not the right moment or the right time for that. So that's one of the first things I will do, right, is I say, hey. What is it that you need from me? Again, intentionality. Right?

Speaker 3:

What is it that you need from me in this, at this particular time? And I say, well, I'm trying to solve this. Okay. Now I can get into my pioneer creator, you know, mindset, right, to to be able to help them. And the one thing that I look at with that is is is like, hey.

Speaker 3:

If if you've again, going back to the knowledge and education. If there's something that you're struggling with and you went and you searched and researched and you can't find that thing that it is that can help you overcome that, you've reached out to others. Again, because you can't do everything on your own. You reach out to others and you really you know, you really can't find anything that really fit, well, then create it yourself. And that's the way that I look at it.

Speaker 3:

Create it yourself. Or if there's something you say, you know what? This would be a lot easier if it was like this. I don't know how many times we as individuals see that and we say that and it's just a passing statement. You know, it would really be good if dot dot dot.

Speaker 3:

What if why don't you do it? That that's the way that I look at it. Doesn't mean it's gonna be easy, but that's the way that I approach things. And so even with this guide, it was like, you know, all these things are in there, this journey and this what we have to do and connect with this person and do this and do that. When you put all that out to someone, it's very difficult for them to to take all of that in in a way that allows them to see what that immediate next step is that they should take.

Speaker 3:

It's a lot to end in their lives. So was like, Why don't I just make a guide? Love that. Why don't I just create a guide, you know, that that's able that that allows people, you know, to to do just that. And so that's the way my mind works.

Speaker 3:

That's what I'm, you know, constantly and and consistently doing, even if I don't act upon it right now, it's there. And I'm like, okay. Once I finish this, I'm gonna do this over here. I'm gonna create this. I'm gonna do that.

Speaker 3:

I'm gonna share this. Right? So that that's just kind of me. Like, that's what motivates me. Going back to motivation, it's always been in me.

Speaker 3:

There's I I cannot shake it, and I realize that I don't

Speaker 1:

need to.

Speaker 3:

Right? It's something I need to lean more into.

Speaker 1:

Right. Right. Right. And thank you for doing that. Right.

Speaker 1:

Thank you for sharing, you know, your gift to the world. You know, one of the things, one of the early feedbacks we Terry and I got on this show was, hey, don't just be another podcast that to your point, Endricko, just inspires you, but doesn't give you any kind of practical steps on how to make a difference, you know, in your life. Give practical steps. And I think that's what you're doing, right? You know, with your guide, you're giving someone something that they can actually, they can, you know, download, they can actually follow step by step and they can actually see some, results in their life.

Speaker 1:

And I think that's very powerful.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, I'm excited. I'm excited to get the guide. I'll tell you this, Ralph and I on occasion, we will, we will actually do our show based on a book or guide. So I can definitely see this being one of the frameworks because it's an innovative approach. Really, so in Draco, as we talked earlier, our initial intent was to target, you know, folks that look like us, right?

Speaker 2:

You know, guys who are in, you know, the corporate space or entrepreneurs, right? Folks who are, you know, in the market, right? They're trying to make an impact. And, you know, we had to kind of honestly, man, just kind of figure it out as as we, you know, went along. And, you know, we were fortunate to get a mentor here or there.

Speaker 2:

Very few folks that kind of, again, had our backgrounds and understood our culture. And I believe, you know, what you're sharing today is definitely going to help our target audience. Now, one of the things to our surprise is that audience has expanded. Right? Because again, these principles work for anyone, right?

Speaker 2:

Who want to, you know, put them in practice. But we want to make it easier, right? It's sometimes when you're talking with someone who can understand where you're coming from, it makes it easier for you to receive. Right? And so, we're we're not excluding anyone, but we're we're but we're including, right, you know, a certain, you know, target audience.

Speaker 2:

And with that being said, you know, you deal in in your experiences with, you know, a wide range of folks. But if you had to speak to that target audience, right, that, you know, we're trying you know, inspire, enable, right, and empower, what would be a message that you'd share, right, just in light of everything, you know, the change, the opportunity. Right? Because in in every crisis, somebody's winning. Somebody is winning in look.

Speaker 2:

You may be in a crisis. Everybody's not in a crisis role. So how what would you share?

Speaker 3:

Yeah. I I would say there's probably there's a few things that I could share, but I'll I'll I'll start here. Number one is lean into you. Lean into what makes you you. Don't let anyone tell you that you're not good enough to do something or that your skill set, you know, isn't, you know, valuable or or whatnot.

Speaker 3:

I hear way too much these days of what we're not or what we shouldn't be. And it's like, well, we're all unique, right? We all have our innate ability, right, that we have, and we need to lean into it. We need to understand it and we need to lean into it because that's what gives us our power. So I would say a lot less listening to the knots, right?

Speaker 3:

And then a lot more leaning into the guidance, the support. Understanding where you wanna go. Like, hey. This is something this is something I wanna do. Right?

Speaker 3:

This is somewhere I wanna go. And leveraging others, building those relationships, right, with others who may have been there, who may have tried there and didn't get there. Lean into those things. Right? Lean into lean into others.

Speaker 3:

I think that we all too often try to go it alone. Mhmm. We we try to go it alone for for for for a multitude of reasons, but we just can't do that. It's way too much knowledge out here. It's way too much opportunity for us to connect with one another, whether it's via, you know, technology.

Speaker 3:

Technology has opened up a whole new set of doors to be able to connect with others. And so you're not leveraging that to the fullest of your extent, leaning into your power to get to your goals, then you're missing an opportunity. That opportunity is right here in front of you. And all all you need to do is you need to look out into the future, line up what who you are, what you'd like to do with the challenges and opportunities out, you know, in society and figure out where that value where you can add value. And notice that I said challenges and opportunities cause there's opportunities within challenges.

Speaker 3:

Somebody's having a problem. Maybe that's something you can help fix. Right? Right. Something is going well over here.

Speaker 3:

Maybe you can, you know, add some value, you know, over there as well. But to me, that's, that's empowerment just on a personal level, on a personal level. Everything that I've mentioned so far can be applied to both your, you know, organization and professional, but also personal.

Speaker 1:

Right?

Speaker 3:

I was one of those individuals. Right? Like, growing up, like, I was like, I heard way too much on statistics that were just terrible for me. I'm like, oh wow. I have

Speaker 1:

no chance. Exactly.

Speaker 3:

So you just can't pay attention to that stuff. Right? Like like, it's a you know, it's the our reality is our reality, but we have the ability to affect that. And so if we lean in too much of that other stuff, then then we we we diminish our ability, right, to be able to affect what we have going on in a positive way. It's not about where you start.

Speaker 3:

It's about where you finish. Right? So that's why just not dwelling on kinda where things are now and the bad things that are that may be happening to you now, it's it's definitely not dismissing that at all. But the goal is somewhere else, and that's where we have to put that's where we have to put our eyes on. So listening to podcasts like this and taking away something, one thing, anything that can affect you today, not two weeks from now.

Speaker 1:

Right. Right.

Speaker 2:

I love that. That.

Speaker 3:

It's the way that you start. You just, there's nothing that stops you from starting to shift your mindset. There's nothing to stop you from starting to shift that mindset. Right. That that's probably the hardest part to do, but it's the most important part because the journey is gonna start before you take the first step.

Speaker 3:

The journey is gonna start when start to shift that mindset.
