Ja'Quan Lavender, a native of Steubenville, Ohio, is a remarkable individual whose journey has been characterized by excellence, resilience, and a commitment to making a positive impact. Born with a passion for athletics, Ja'Quan's talent in track and field became evident during his time at Steubenville High School.

As a track standout, Ja'Quan made a name for himself in the 400-meter dash, consistently demonstrating his speed, endurance, and determination. His exceptional performances not only earned him recognition but also paved the way for his future endeavors.

In 2014, Ja'Quan graduated from Steubenville High School, having left an indelible mark on the track and field program. His success on the high school stage opened doors for him to pursue his athletic aspirations at the collegiate level.

Ja'Quan's exceptional track and field abilities led him to receive a scholarship to Tiffin University, where he continued to excel both academically and athletically. He embraced the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level, showcasing his talent and dedication.

In 2020, Ja'Quan proudly earned his Bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing and Management from Tiffin University. Armed with his educational foundation and a deep understanding of the sports industry, he was ready to take his career to new heights.

Fuelled by his passion and ambition, Ja'Quan embarked on a quest to make the 2020 Olympic Team for the summer Olympics. Although he fell short of his goal, his unwavering spirit led him to a different avenue within the sporting world.

Ja'Quan's exceptional athleticism and adaptability earned him a spot at the Team USA Rookie Camp for Skeleton, a thrilling winter sport. Embracing this new challenge, he demonstrated his ability to push boundaries, overcome obstacles, and continually strive for greatness.

After retiring from competitive sports in 2021, Ja'Quan redirected his energy and focus towards making a lasting impact on the lives of young men across the nation. He founded the Ja'Quan Lavender Foundation: The Journey to Gold, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering and inspiring youth.

Through his foundation, Ja'Quan serves as a mentor, role model, and catalyst for change. He actively engages with young men, offering guidance, support, and resources to help them develop into responsible, confident, and successful individuals.

In addition to his foundation, Ja'Quan established The Prudent Man Leadership Academy, a program aimed at transforming young men into wise leaders. Through this academy, he provides education, mentorship, and transformative experiences, equipping the next generation with the skills and values necessary for personal and professional success.
